Are you content? For most people, that is a difficult question to answer with a yes. Listen to The Apostle Paul’s words as he tells us how he learned to be content in every situation!
The Apostle Paul said “One thing I do…” He then went on to say that the one thing was to forget those things in the past, and reach forward to those things which are ahead. He described all this as pressing toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Paul was running toward the goal of heaven. Listen in to see how we can do the same!
Paul had a great resume before coming to Christ. After coming to Christ, Paul considered everything he had going for himself previously, as rubbish. Listen in to see what Paul desired for his life, after he came to Christ.
Listen in as we see two men that were very dear to Paul the Apostle. They stood with him, they loved him, they helped him and he was blessed by them. We will learn about the characteristics that made them great and we too can be “Partners In Joy”.
Balance in life is hard to find. Paul teaches us in this passage what to have balance in and if we do that, then we can have joy abundantly!
Humility is something that is usually not natural for us but it is needed. Listen in to see how Paul says we need to think and in doing so, we will be like Jesus and have great joy!
Paul was torn between two ideas. For him, if he was going to continue to live, it was going to be for Christ. If he were to die, he knew he would be with Christ. If we can have that same view, we can truly say, “To live is Christ, to die is gain!”
